Words cannot express how amazing of an experience it was to photograph triplets. I’ve photographed twins, even have a set of my own, but a triplet newborn photo session is something I can not count on doing everyday.
Honestly, I was a bit nervous before the session. Single babies can take a long time to photograph. We generally take breaks as needed to feed, soothe and calm baby – so I assumed and told mom to be prepared to stay at the studio all day.
I was lucky to have a great friend that I met through the photography world who was able to drive in from over 2 hours away to assist me. I mentally planned a variety of setups, and planned to go with the flow. I hoped to get at least 2 different set-ups with all 3 babies together. The unexpected happened. They were 3 perfectly well behaved angels and we finished the session in the same amount of time it takes to do a single newborn photoshoot!
The girls were real adorable little dolls. I was fascinated to hear that 2 were identical & one was fraternal. How cool is that?!
I can’t imagine what it’s like to have three babies at once, but dare I say I almost felt like it was worth it just for the gorgeous photos mom got… 🙂
